Hello, We're heading over for a week in Stockholm (tagging along last minute with DH on business trip, so very little heads up for planning)... so I'm making an appeal for wonderful things to do during the day with my DD while out and about.

We'll be in a flat, so at least a bit more comfy than a hotel. Will be staying in Gamla Stan. Have had a quick look online/in Time Out Stockholm, but always eager for other "real life" advice :)

Hi! Stockholm is beautiful. We went for a week last autumn with a 7 month old.

The city is built on islands, so there are lots of different boat trips you can do. Like London, you can do a tourist boat trip or simply hop on a boat designed for locals that does the same thing with no commentary.

Check out the island of Djurgården - lots of family friendly stuff there. We particularly loved Vasa - a great big Viking ship. Also look up Tivoli Gröna Lund - although we didn't go as my DS was too young, I remember going as a kid and loved it. Much more toddler friendly than our theme parks generally are.

Have fun!
