Help me find a holiday with a creche?

DP and I have a 5mo LO and are truly knackered. We need a holiday. In the past we've been the 'book a flight, sort out a hotel and the details when we get there' kind of travellers, but now we have LO we figured a package would be a better idea. We're not fussy about where we go and really just want somewhere warmish where we can chill out with a book.

I popped into Thomson this afternoon and, lovely though the agent was, she could only find me one option, and it comes in at £1500.

Does anyone have any recommendations of companies / resorts / hotels that might be able to help? Our only requirements are that it is within a three hour flight (preferably from Birmingham) and has a creche or nursery that we can leave LO in for a few hours a day.

Thank you!

Hiya - lots of places don't start offering childcare till the children are 3-4 years old.

You could try baby boltholes (website), tots too, quo vadis but I think that they will all be more than £1500. Neilsons also do for this age but again more than that cost wise unless you get a last minute.

What was it that she found you for £1500 - that doesn't sound too bad to me?

Pierre et Vacances have creches from 3 months at some of their sites. here for example.

Thank you!

This is more of a struggle than I expected. Loads of places have creches but they don't open until May. I have to go back to work in March so we need to go before then.

I have found a spa/golf hotel in the UK with a creche so we migh just have a couple of nights away instead Grin

If you don't mind staying in England the sands resort in Cornwall has creche/clubs for little ones and the hotel is perfect for relaxing. It is VERY child friendly and they have everything there to make your stay easier including pushchairs, baby monitors, stairgates etc. My friends went on their first holiday with their 1 year old and loved it, there little one took her first steps there and the mum was able to have a couple of lovely massages while the little girl was in creche/club.
Hope this helps!

If you're thinking of the UK, then are you near a centre parks? Crèche plus spa for you and then a lovely swimming pool to take little one and baby sitters! A good place of you're looking for a cheap (don't go in school holidays!) long weekend.

It is not warmish but they have a baby club www.igrandiviaggi.it/browseN3.cfm?pkalbero=769&pknodo=57594. We used this tour operator years ago in august, and it was one of our best holidays.

Was also going to recommend Sands Resort. We only went for 2 nights but it felt like a real holiday. The food was great & if you use the creche or baby listening, then you can enjoy the proper restaurant & wine list!!

There is a poster on here, I forget her name but she runs a childcare business in Tenerife. May be you could try her?
