Minicabs in London with infant seats

Going to be going to Heathrow from Stockwell with 4mo DD, DH and lots of luggage - can anyone recommend a cab firm I can book that'll have infant seats in the back? (We don't have a car seat of our own and don't want to get one as we're leaving the country!) Thanks!

You could try Chequers - don't know whether they do have infant seats at the moment but I've always found them reliable - I think they were the firm we used the one time we did this, many years ago.

Cabs around us will only provide toddler seats, not infant seats. They say you have to supply your own. So you either take the seat with you on your trip, or (and we have done this) the cab company will store the infant seat for you and you book your return journey with them.

The alternatives if you can't find one are either get a black cab and take her in an unfolded pushchair, or one of you takes the luggage and the other takes DD by tube.
Neither are great choices though, so I'd definitely try and find one with a baby seat - they certainly did exist once upon a time.

Cheers, Dilys, I'll look into them.

As a family run London airport transfer business, LondonAirConnections have been providing free child seats for children aged 6 months to 3 years since 1998. We do have some boosters chairs too, but not many. Our website is londonairconnections(dot)com. No minicabs, so no local services - sorry!

Addison Lee stopped offering chairs about a year ago, and this has increased demand with us a little so book early to reserve. All are subject to availability at time of booking.

We do offer the storage facility that 'PrisonerOfWaugh' above talked about to if you prefer to use your own seats. This is also free, but only if you book a return journey wih us.

Book at least 48 hours in advance. Our fares are fully inclusive, we don't charge waiting, car parking or booking fees either! We are members of A.S.T.A. and are a London licensed operator.
