El campello near allicante

Anyone been here? Have found a lovely cheap villa in this town but no nothing about this area of Spain - well Spain full stop!
We chose it as we can get easyjet flights from Glasgow. We are 2 families with 6 children from 11 down to 6 months.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi. We had a house swap there in the summer for 3 weeks so got to know it pretty well. It's pretty built up - mainly low rise which is not what we normally go for but it is a very Spainish town with very few Brits around (a good thing!) It's not exactly scenic but the beach is clean and there is room enough for everyone. We liked going into Alicante in the late afternoon for a bit more atmostphere. The promenade is where everyone heads in the evenings and El Campello generally has a very happy relaxed vibe.
