Am I right in thinking that the post office is my best bet? Was about to order from them, but they have a £500 minimum - had planned on taking less cash and using my debit card. WDYR?

If you are in London, the ICE at Waterloo station usually has very good rates (even better if you print off their online voucher). I have also used Travelex to order online and collect at the airport.

We bought our currency over the internet from travelex.co and found it had the best rate, was really efficient and couldnt fault them. they delivered it to our door.

Marks and Spencer often do good rates. I'm surprised at the post office. I didn't realise there was a minimum.

Thomas Exchange Global give the best rates I've found, there are a few branches around central London and you can order online then pick up in store, I have used them for Euros and US$, I think they are so competitive as they gets lots of tourist changing up currency so have a lot of currency!
