happy car travel

I'm looking for tips to keep my 5 month old baby happy whilst awake on car journeys. Unless it's a nap time journey he screams after 5 mins and it's really restricting.
Toys don't work, I wondered if a dvd might do the trick?

We have a CD of kids songs which has always worked quite well, intensely irritating, but works. "MY first Album" is new out and good. Has a DVD for when they are older too which my 19mo DS loves.

When he was little we had a mobile that went on the top of his car seat and was quite good too
