Would the Maldives be a mistake?

Dp and I are marrying in March. We are having a 'two centre' honeymoone, first week with the children at Centre Parcs then we want to go off for a week/10days. Have always joked about the Maldives being the ideal place but would it be a mistake as I don't actually like water so I would have one of the huts on stilts over the water (would really freak me out) and I don't swim in the sea! Would this be a mistake? If so, any recommendations?

Stitch, so sorry to hear that, must have been dreadful, Maldives is losing a lot of its appeal now.

CD, you can e mail me on [email protected]. Thanks.

What about Mauritius instead? Bit more to do than just sea! We stayed at the Residence - if you want serious pampering then you should look into it. Your own butler to pour you fantastic rose petal baths etc every evening...!!!

Oooh that sounds fab. Own butler, way to go!

Go to the Maldives! It's your honeymoon, plenty of time for shopping. That being said, Sri Lanka is fab and we married there!
