Day out in Cambridge with 2 under 2

Meeting up with some friends in Cambridge in a couple of weeks time. None of us live there, it is just a convenient place to meet, so we could do with some pointers please.

Can anyone recommend good places to visit with 2 toddlers (15m and 20m), and any reasonably family friendly places to eat.

If the weather is good I would join the hoards of other pre-schoolers and their parents in the botanical gardens. Lots of space to run around and nice cafe.

That sounds promising - thank you. Space to run around is v.important. Not sure about the hoards though!
