DH and I are having our first ever night away from children together (oldest nearly 8), so although we're only staying one night we want something nice. We are going to a party in Clerkenwell and it would be nice to walk back, but anywhere near would be OK.
My DH often gets to stay in the Jury's Inn on Pentonville Road for work and is happy to stay there but I want need some glam factor after all these years.
I want hip'n'clerkenwell-ish rather than 5* international business. No need for 24 hour room service. Big bed, nice bath, cooked breakfast.
Any ideas?
My early googling has thrown up a small room at the Zetter for £185, which looks quite promising. I've not been to Clerkenwell in years although I used to know it well.
