HELP! Harrogate with 4 children (on Tuesday)

Am in urgent need of some suggestions for ways to entertain 2 x 6yr olds, 1 x 3 year old and 1 x 2yr old for a full day in Harrogate (that I don't know at all) by myself!!

I've googled soft play (in case of desperation) and found Kidzplay but if anyone knows of any good activities / places of interest / parks / child friendly cafes/restaurants, I will be extremely grateful!!

Valley Gardens should keep them busy for a good while, if it's fine.

Another option would be to catch the train to York. There's another recent thread on things to do with children in York. NB The railway museum in York is right next to York station.
