The trainline and london underground transport

have never used the trainline before and dont want to be caught out.

Me and ds1 can get a return into london for £22 but if we include all day travel on london transport (bus or tube) its only £7 more.
I know it would cost more if i bought a dy travelcard, so is there any catch?

Sounds about right - check that it includes a Travelcard for both of you, not just 'return to zone 1' which just gives you one return Tube trip.

Thanks, it includes a day travel card anywhere in zone 1 on bus or tube so i hope it means more than one although we do actually only need to do one tube journey

No catch.

If you really only need to do one tube journey you can look up the prices here and it might be cheaper to just buy that one ticket.

If you are likely to go to London often it'd be cheaper to buy a pay-as-you-go oyster card. The card costs £3 but the fares are much cheaper.

Its just a one off trip so dont need an oyster
