I put it all in the hold. Just in case.
But, always have some painkillers in my handbag and they went through fine.

DH always has a strip of his Epilim in my bag when we fly. No one has ever questioned it or asked to see a script, so I can't see painkillers being a problem.

You can. You can buy them after security if you want, there is always a Boots at the airport.
