package holiday to Cyprus or Canary Islands?

Hi, we're looking for some sun mid to late October somewhere in Europe, does anyone have any recommendations for somewhere quiet to stay, which is toddler friendly?

Some of our holiday will probably cross over into half term. It seems as though weather is most reliably warm in Cyprus and The Canary Islands, but any other suggestions welcome.

We really really don't want somewhere with clubbers, teenagers etc. Not keen on having 'entertainment' in the evenings. We want to be able to walk to some restaurants in the evening.

We don't have much experience with package holidays but we want the convenience of just booking one thing and not having to drive in the evenings and getting picked up from the airport.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Not a package, but in Feb we went to Las Brisas, Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. It's a complex of "villas" that are lovely white painted bungalows mainly owned by on timeshare by brits. The bungalows are brilliantly kitted out (full kitchen etc), there's a really good swimming pool and childrens play area. There's a bar on site and there is entertainement but we didn't get involved in any of it at all. The village and beach / seafront are a five minute walk and have loads of lovely child friendly restaurants. We hired a car so we could explore the island, but you could spend a week at Playa Blanca easily if you just want to chill out on the beach.

DS was 16 months and loved it, we couldn;t get him out of the pool!

We flew with Ryanair, who I don't like but other companies fly there too. We'll definitely go back again, it was perfect for our needs at the time. The weather should be lovely in October too
