Going to Niagara Falls from New York

We are going from New York to Niagara Falls via train. The train arrives at the US side in the evening. We then have to cross into the Canadian side as we will eventually travel on to Toronto. Has anyone done this crossing, and hotel recommendations for hotels on the US side and how long does it take to get from one side to the other ?

While you are waiting for replies here, it may be worth looking at the TA Niagara Falls forum and reading some previous threads there, or asking your own questions if you are a member of TA.

Not sure if this is helpful at all, the crossing in Niagara is the Peace Bridge, you can look on their site for updated travel conditions (sometimes there's a wait at the border) and info on what ID you'll need, etc.

Actually, this is a better link.
