Car seat in airplane hold...

Travelling on Sun - do I need to bubble wrap the car seat to go in the hold (can't afford any damage) or will it be ok? Have always managed to borrow a car seat before so have never taken one.

Ours always got slung in with the rest of our luggage. We never suffered any damage and it flew a lot.

I'm with kittensliveupstairs, we flew a a lot with ours, never wrapped it (just do up and tighten straps to stop them catching on something), never had any damage or problems.

Just another thought - depends where you are flying from/too but many big airports now have firms offering wrapping if you were really bothered.

I would bubble wrap, but that is only because last year our car seat was badly damaged when we flew BA. They were very good, they paid for replacement but was annoying and inconvenient.
