Mexico - opinions please, best hotels etc

Can't decide whether to do sharm el sheikh next may or mexico would love to hear all about mexico, we have 3 dc's. Would love to know the best hotels, things to do etc.

Buktus I have been to Mexico 3 times with ds (5) and we absolutely love it. Stayed at the Iberostar Tucan near Playa Del Carmen. It's a very safe, family friendly hotel. Loads of activities to do during the day( only if you want to) and great entertainment at night. It's built around it's own jungle and there's monkeys and all sorts of amazing wildlife.
