We have 4 days, minus children and love the idea of France, sitting cafes watching the world go by, exploring and if possible without a car and an authentic place to stay, a B & B or lovely French small hotel (not a conference room in site) Any ideas or recommendations? (P.S. not Paris) thinking more along the lines of villages and/or very small pituresque towns.
