yep costa del sol near Estepona with DDs 2 and 4 (and when they were 1 and 3). Great in that it was easy, warm (not been in Dec tho) and short flights.

Never looked for childcare on hols tho.

Lots to do (in peak season) and some great places to visit.

I think Canaries would be better bet than Costa del Sol in Dec, oops. We went to C d S in late Oct/early Nov last year (not with little ones) and the season finished that weekend - defo getting cooler.

I live in estepona and its a nice little place but its very quiet at this time of year. The wearher at the moment is nice during the day about 20 but its quite chilly at night. You are close to Marbella, Puerto banus, Gibraltar and there are some lovely beaches if you fancy a walk. Hotels generally are on the outskirts, Hotel Alba is supposed to be lovely as is Las Dunas or Kempinskis. Alll of which are quite expensive. If you let me know what sort of things you are interested in, I can recommend other places.

How much can you spend? The Mark Warner place in Egypt could be good?

Janh · 25/11/2005 22:10

We got snow in Oct last year, lucy! Saw it on the news, boys went on beach in the morning, we drove up for snowballs in the afternoon, brilliant!

Pootling would be perfect for estepona but not alot else to be honest. Isnt there a European version of centreparks, im sure I saw a thread about it on here the other day. The hotels I talked about all have spas, pools etc the Hotel Elba has had some good reviews will see if I can find alink.

GoodKingWestCountryLass · 26/11/2005 00:06

A friend stayed at the First Choice Holiday Village in Benelmedena near Malaga and they reckon it was fab with kids, worth a look.
