Hi, i go every year with some girl friends and we always stay in the knightsbridge hotel which is right next to the liffey and a few steps from temple bar. it has its own v v lively pub and night club. Before any one else says it.....it is not the most posh hotel i have ever stayed in but it is not budget.

Thanks everyone, we ended up in Jurys out at Croke park. It was very posh . It was about 20 mins walk from the top of O connel so we ended up getting the bus to Grafton area and working our way back up. We seemed to mainly eat and drink plus we went to the cinema twice. We found a lovely wee Italian Restruant and a pub where the average age was 70yrs but the craic was great .
