Hi
We are looking at a villa holiday and usually go to Mallorca, but wanted to go somewhere different this year.

We are planning to go mid July, me, DH, DCs aged 1, 3, and 5, and PILs.

Would love to hear your opinions!

Thank you!!

My favourite place is Turkey, we go there every year!

We had a beautiful villa last year in Yalikavak, a small resort on the Bodum Peninsula. Villas in Turkey are normally quite a bit cheaper than in other places and it is very reasonable to eat out there, although not as cheap as it used to be.

Turkey is also very child friendly and the Turkish people will go out of their way to be freindly and helpful, they just love children.

We are going back to Bodrum this year but not until October, we went August last year.

I go (through Owners Direct) to a villa in Menorca every year. Advantage for me is that we only need 2 bedrooms, so though these are somewhat rarer, they are also much more reasonably priced than Menorca as a whole.

Turkey is also beautiful and very cost efficient.

Crete was ruined for me by the corrupt apartment owner we encountered when we last visited who tried to charge us for an unpaid bar-bill, from a night we had been to another town for the entirety of the evening! Hmm. It has made me feel very dubious about returning, although the Island itself was amazing (we saw a Golden Eagle up in the mountains)
