Apologies if this has been asked before.

I need to travel from London to Belfast. Does my 3m need a passport? she doesn't have any photo ID yet!

Check your airline t and c 's but usually the parent's id is enough.

I asked Air France whether my 10 month old needed ID for a flight from Dundee to London.

They have just emailed me back to say that "every passenger must have an form of identification with a photo, for security reason, in order to board a flight".

Trouble is, we're going this Saturday...

Anyone got any bright ideas where I can get valid photo ID for a baby in the next 4 days???

If your child has a different surname to yours it's a good idea to take their birth certificate. I've been checked and nearly refused a flight because I couldn't prove I wasn't stealing the children from their father.
Using an out of date passport as photo id confuses them too, but isn't a problem.

If you are flying with Easyjet then definitely not. My DD flew back and forth to Belfast before her passport arrived.

applejelly Air France operates as City Jet I believe and it says here that minors don't need photo id here

To fly within England I just needed ds's birth certificate plus my photo ID. That was with flybe. Best to check with your airline though

Thanks KennDodds... we phoned Dundee airport check in desk (yes, there's only one) and the lady actually laughed when we said we'd been told DS needed photo ID Grin
