Beach resorts with lots for children - help!

Sorry for any typos - babe in arms.

Been trawling the internet for hours and need some help - my head is spinning.

I am looking for somewhere which is great for little ones - we have four children under five : ) We went to Playa Blanca last year which was lovely but we spent the whole week looking for decent play areas/trampolines etc for the children.

We enjoyed C'alan Bosch one year but found the hotels to be a bit less luxurious to the Canary Islands. But somewhere else with a play centre with trampolines etc like Goody Goodys would be perfect.

I keep thinking Cyprus or even dare I say it Playa de la Americas.

So...I need any help. I don't want to spend my holiday this year on another mission to find a playground!!

Any recommendations of great hotels on the beach would also be so so appreciated.

whats your budget? are any of your children classed under 2? when do you plan to go and for how long? would you use kids clubs to give you a break and children make friends? never heard of goody goody's but surely if the weather is good you'd want to be outdoors?

If you can afford it, and you like Portugal - go here www.martinhal.com/ - it is at the very SouthWest tip of the Algarve, not very touristy but utterly fantastic, and also half an hour's drive from Lagos. It has everything you need - kids' club, babysitting, bike hire, playground, kids' room with Wiis, Playstations, snooker table etc for older children, fantastic staff who literally entertain your children all day if you need them to, four swimming pools, total luxury - it is awesome. If you surf, there are some wonderful surfing beaches nearby, and if you don't, it is located right by a very calm sandy beach that's very sheltered. I can also recommend a kids' play centre (with indoor and outdoor areas) near Lagoa, which I would say is about 45 minutes' drive away, but has the benefit of a liquor license for the parents (!) and is run by a lovely English couple - will dig out the details if you need me to.

It's worth asking if the hotel/resort has any special offers - e.g. a while ago they were offering 4 hours' kids' club per child per day included in the price. There are some fantastic restaurants in Sagres - again, I can provide details if you like.

We've stayed there twice and it is wonderful. It's about a 1hr 15 minute drive from Faro airport.

P.S. Last time we stayed there, our kids were aged just 6 and nearly 4.

really surprised you couldnt find any decent play areas in playa blanca. did you look at 'kikoland' by the princess yaiza resort. free to guests but you can also pay if you are not staying. own heated childrens pools, several kids clubs (even for under 2's, activities all day, trampoline etc etc.) Also bungee trampolines/mini golf by the marina although that may only be suitable for 2 +. we thought playa blanca was an ideal resort with young kids.
pinecliffs in the algarve meant to be nice for toddlers/babies but I've never been there and its supposed to be expensive.
let us know what you find!

Have a look at Protaras in Cyprus.

I think it could be what you are looking for .

Hiya.
I actually live in Tenerife and have my own small childcare buisness here.
I can recommend the area of Fanabe on the island as best for children as there is so much to do.

There is quite a large soft play area on the beach and trampolines and climbing frames etc.
Even one part of the beach has inflatables in the sea.

If i can help further or recommend hotels please dont hesitate to ask.

Lisa.

Maybe not to everyones taste but we love the First Choice holiday villages, just returned from the one in Majorca. It has loads for children, parks, trampolines, sports, kids clubs, evening entertainment. They never get bored and it's great to get a bit of a break from them.
