Yes we have done it before, I think you get a total weight of 30 (is it kg?) if two people take 1 bag.

NorbertDentressangle · 06/04/2011 19:53

You should be able to do it. Is there no drop down list of numbers?

The cynic in me says that they're making it as difficult as possible as its their way of getting more ££££s from you

We flew Monarch and RyanAir recently with only 1 piece of hold luggage between 4 of us. IIRC you had the option after each persons name on the booking form to add a piece of hold luggage

I really don't think you can double up on weight allowances - I think each bag has to be a max of 15kg before they start to charge for the excess weight. Certainly with Ryanair that's the case.

I think you can do it but you won't get 30kg allowance, it will still be 15kg-we certainly got caught by this and charged for excess baggage on one big bag we had as a family - they definitely worked it out per bag as we had one which was about 22kg and one about 6kg (rucksack for carrying a child but not much packing space) but we still were "over" by 7kg. I am pretty sure that was with Easyjet but may possibly have been Ryanair.

If you choose add luggage on Easyjet it automatically adds 1 per passenger BUT if you click on the blue luggage header in your summary you get a new page and you can reduce it to 1 bag and get a -£22. 1 bag is 20kg max. You can add more weight if you want which than adds cost again (WAY more than having 2 bags). Hope that makes sense.

You will have 20kg each luggage allowance and you can take ine bag if you want but the weight cannot go over 30kg.

I checked with Easyjet on this so I know it is correct.
