Ladies day trip to London

I'm meeting up with a pregnant friend in London on Saturday. Although I was a student there that was 13 years ago so not sure what we should do. She's looking to me for ideas, so of course I look to MN .

I suggested we go to Covent Garden since it's easy, and jst doing a long lunch and window shopping. I'm arriving at Waterloo and she gets in at Marylebone or Euston (can't remember which).

I did think about wandering around the National Portrait Gallery, or is there anything on at the V&A?

Any ideas gratefully received!

you could maybe go and get your nails done together-gives you a half hour sit down midway through the afternoon window shopping and then go for tea/cake somewhere

That's a lovely idea, maybe toes, can't have painted finger nails for work next week and have none anyway!!
