Days out near Liverpool

Hi

was going to go to Pontins today but they're not letting visitors in as they're fully booked.

Have a 3 and a 5 year old - don't really want to drive for more than 30-45 minutes (have just come back from a weekend away with a 2 hour drive !)

any ideas for today/tomorrow

beaches are west kirby and new brighton, they have an arcade and funfair there also
5 mins down the road they have a new spaceworld at seacombe ferry

have decided on the museum today and acorn urban farm for tomorrow (have to work on friday)- might save the beaches for the weekend when DH can be with us - thanks guys

Knowsley Safari Park is close to Liverpool isn't it?
