Hi
We are on the verge of booking Sani beach hotel but wanted a bit of reassurance that we are doing the right thing.

Anyone been? All we want is a relaxing sun holiday for may with baby and toddler.

Thanks

Have been to the Porto Sani Village and will be returning again hopefully, went over to the beach hotel which is a little further out - was very nice but preferred the more relaxed village feel of the village iyswim, they did have a dress code in the hotel which they didn't have so much (and had more variety within easy walking distance), didn't see as many children over there as at the village which was really geared for them at breakfast and stuff, but as I say we only went over there once.

Have you looked at the village? If it helps we chose it over the beach hotel because you got a "suite" with two rooms one for you and one for the children so you did have a bit of space but without the cost escalating too much. However I don't know what the cost difference is iyswim? None of what I have said really helps does it? However the Sani resorts were brilliant and have recommended to friends who have also recommended it!

Thanks, did you go half board or fb at Porto?

We are looking to get a suite at the beach hotel but not sure which is the most family friendly of them all?

What time of year did you go?

Is there any kind of evening entertainment?

All I can say is that the Village seemed to be the better place to go, it had lots of swimming pools (inside and out) pretty good food, a village within 5 mins walk where there were restaurants that you could charge to the room to so you didn't need any cash, you could book your beach beds, lovely creche, bikes to hire - it was more of the hub. Breakfast was fab, with a nanny at the kids table (so if they run off there are other children to play with, someone to keep an eye out etc), we met so many lovely people there who we kept in touch with, the restaurant in the hotel we didn't really use as the food was quite rich but lovely bar there and a good mix of restaurants (posh and not!) Children allowed pretty much everywhere, the possibility of baby sitters on site, we didn't go half board or full board am not really sure why, the menu was slightly different to the non fb/hb options as in there was an alacarte menu.

No real evening entertainment that I can remember but we took a whole load of dvd's and chilled in the evening and on the balcony/garden being in earshot of the children (right outside their room). There weren't any clubs but then we were quite knackered and hadn't had a holiday for a while (and were ttc!).
Went september time was quieter, lovely weather not too mad and lots of people with toddlers/babies so we didn't feel out of place. I wouldn't have wanted to go if I was a couple but it wasn't in your face it was just brilliant for a family imho.

Good luck with your decision!
