Science Museum is free, London Transport you need to pay.

DP took DD to LT and said it was excellent, they were the first ones in so paid the price of a tube ticket in the 1980s, or something random like that. But he did say it was very good, DD was 2.5 at the time.

We have been SM a few times, just this weekend in fact and I think it's excellent for that age. There is the garden in the basement where they can have a play, you can picnic there, there's a bubble show and they also do a story time.

We quite like the British Museum. They do story time and activities there as well. The storytellers are amazing, and really get the children involved.

LTM is excelllent & very kid friendly. Yes it is expensive but your ticket will last you the year so if you go a few times then its very good value. We took our 2 1/2 year old there at the weekend & he had a great time running around, driving buses etc.Theres lots to do & see & its very interactive.

The Science museum is good but what puts me off is that (lile the Natural History) gets far too busy at weekends.

Great tips ladies. We are thinking of going this Friday so hopefully it will be a bit quieter.

Check the BM & SM websites as they may not put on activities during the week.

Have fun!

Don't know much about the LTS, but Smellyfeet's right about the SM - your LO would love the [http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/visitmuseum/agegroups/under_5s.aspx Garden], even if there aren't any shows on.
