Family Friendly Beach Break from Singapore?

Can anyone recommend an easy, family friendly hotel/resort for a weeks beach holiday from Singapore in autumn half term? Maybe avoiding a flight? Tioman perhaps?
We're moving to Singapore in June and we have so much to do I'm thinking it would be lovely to have a family holiday booked at the end of all the upheaval. We'll have DS 5, DD 3 and a 6 month old. Thanks.

Hi you must get a ferry to bintan - it's a philipeano island 1 hr by ferry from Singapore and it's stunning some parts are untouched and there are a few different style resorts to try from - from a low key beach hut with no air con to a stunning banyan tree resort with everything you might need. It's like being in Thailand without the flight - so laid back and chilled out. Expats from Singapore go there so it's ideal. www.banyantree.com/en/bintan/overview

Clube Med Cherating? Very family-orientated and my cousins and their families love it for a short break from Singapore...

Actually, if you don't want to travel far, how about Resorts World Sentosa - only a ferry ride or cable ride away from Singapore and there's lots to do if that's what you want or you can also have a lazy beach holiday... We took our DSs there last year when it first opened and can't wait to take them back when they are older.

Bagus Place Retreat on Tioman is the nicest place I have ever stayed.

Bintan is technically Indonesia but you can get a visa on arrival with a UK passport. You just need to book the ferry and the accommodation. Some of the resorts are much nicer than others so book with care. Bintan Lagoon is currently building a ferry terminal in the middle of their beach for some unknown reason so is probably worth avoiding.

Tioman is a four hour drive then one hour boat trip but it has lovely unspoilt rainforest and the snorkelling is wonderful.

I have not stayed at RWS but I should imagine it would be very nice. Not sure if there is a proper beach though.

Other options if you could bear to fly are Langkawi and Koh Samui. Both have some stunning resorts.
