Tips for 7 month olds ears on long haul flight

Hi,

I'm looking for any ideas on managing my DS's ears on take off and landing. Last time we flew he screamed till he was sick on landing and I'm keen not to repeat this! He won't take a bottle or dummy and is ebf from birth. I tried to bf him last time we flew but he was having none of it. Is there anything he can take or we can do to reduce his discomfort?

Thanks!

I just flew a long haul (10 hours) flight with my 7mo. He did not want to feed or take a dummy..but a new sippy cup of water went down well and so did my little finger in his mouth (he is starting to teeth...).

Mothercare does these teething Hands..bumpy plastic/rubbery things with water in them. if you cool them in the fridge before travel and give them to baby at landing/take off - they like the coolness on the gums and like to suck them, they are also easy to hold. it keeps the shouting at bay. Hth.
