Easter hols, where can we go that's sunny?

We've had a rubbish start to the year, DS1 has been in and out of hospital and it's been really stressful. Think it would be good for us as a family to go away in the Easter hols, but not sure where is warm enough without long-haul. Anyone been to Turkey in April? Is it hot enough to sit around the pool/beach? Have been in July but not sure if it's warm enough in April. Or any other suggestions?

Turkey is nice and warm at the end of April, nowhere near the heat of July but warm enough to sit on the beach or by the pool. The water temperature is low though so the sea and pools will feel pretty cold. It does get a bit chilly at night.

The further east you go the warmer it will be so the Antalya region will be a few degrees warmer than Bodrum or Marmaris.

The summer season doesn't usually start until 1st May but I think most resorts are planning on opening up earlier this year as Easter is so late.

Well, we were going to go to Egypt but now its Turkey with an indoor pool.

I agree Turkey will be nice, especially as Easter is so late.

Other places I was going to suggest were Cyprus or the Canaries :)
