Somewhere to meet near Preston

I am hoping to meet up with an old friend next week - she's coming from Penrith and we are coming from Chester so we think Preston will be about halfway. Any recommendations for something easily accessible from the M6: we will have one 5-month-old, one 13-month-old and a 4-year-old. Even a playbarn would be fine, or something we could walk around (with indoor options in case of rain). TIA

If you want somewhere incredibly easy off the M6 The Phantom Winger has a playbarn - I think DD went to a party there aeons ago, (she's 12 so I'm a bit out of touch.

The ancient oak is a bit further off the motorway but not very far.

The Norman Jepson has a Brewsters playbarn, its just off an m6 exit for you but your friend would have to get off one earlier.

Can't think of anything other than playbarns in Preston TBH. If its a nice day and you're willing to go a bit further north to Lancaster Williamson Park is pleasant, child friendly cafe and Butterfly house
