Has Anyone been to Club Med in Italy?

And would it be good for a shy, sporty 11 year old girl who doesn't speak french? I know some Club Med places are very very french.

Would like a holiday where there are plenty of families, various activities for DD but nice for book reading adults as well. Does anybody have any recommendations?

Metaponto in Italy was a lovely holiday. The GOs all seem to speak very good English. They have a circus school there which all the children seemed to enjoy.
