Child-Friendly Restaurant near the London Eye

My DC will be 5 soon and we're taking her and younger sibling on the London Eye. We want to take them for a birthday lunch after, just the 4 of us but don't want Pizza Express or similar. We thought Rainforest Cafe on the other side of the River but friends who dined there recently said food and service was terrible. Can anyone recommend a relaxed restaurant, bit special for grown ups and kids that's not too far from the Eye. Thank you.

Giraffe is good, about 5 min from there by the river, we took our DDs on the eye and to Giraffe for dinner on their 7th birthday, they loved it and the restaurant did a cake for them.

Strada, Los Iguanos both on the SouthBank.

We went to Wagamama's. About a 5 minute walk and the DC's love it

I can second Giraffe!! Good range of food and cute little plastic giraffe's in the drinks - well I liked them Grin

we always end up going to giraffe - very child friendly and while not "special" as such you're unlikely to find anywhere around there that is both "special" and "family friendly".
