Is anyone else still waiting for a refund for flights cancelled during the pre-Christmas airport closures. Not sure if Easyjet are simply slow processing them or if our cirucmstances have complicated matters.
When we applied for the refund we realised that we had in the interim closed the bank account with which we had booked, couldn't get through on the phone, so emailled customer services to notify them, with new details. The refund for the return flight came through quickly, via the suspense account of our previous bank, but we haven't had the second for hte outboudn flight due to take off during the closure period. Eventually we received an acknowledegement of that email last weekend referring to the refund we had received and asking for phone contact details to discuss the bank change, although we have not received a call yet. Subsequently we had another email asking for a bank statement to prove we hadn't had that refund (how for a closed a/c we're not sure !) and dh has emailled them back to confirm we have had it but are awaiting the balance to which we have had no reply as yet.
So, more than a month on, we are still owed for the outbound flight they cancelled, for which we had paid in July. I thought I'd read at the time they were supposed to sort it in 28 days. Anyone else ?
