Christmas Day Lunch in Leeds?

CookieMonster · 07/10/2005 13:18

I know this isn't really a day out, but I didn't know where else to put this ..

My parents have very kindly said they will take us out (me, dh and dd (4)) for a meal on Christmas Day. Does anybody have any ideas on where we go in or around Leeds? The only restriction we have is that they need to cater for children.

Thanks in advance .....

Which side of Leeds are you?

In Shipley there is BossaNova . Not sure about high chairs but I have taken my baby in there (& breast fed her)and the staff were fine about it. Food is great too.

Also nearby & very child friendly is Salts Diner in Salts Mill. Not sure what they have for Xmas but if you've never been it's well worth a visit.

est est est is very child friendly - there's one in the city and one in Cookridge, Brown's on the Headrow is good too, don't know if they're doing Xmas dinners though.

Many thanks for your replies ladies ... had a look at both of those Witchycat, and neither are open Christmas Day.

Groggymama, I live about 3 miles from the Cookridge Est Est Est and am a regular visitor there. In fact I had a look at their Christmas menu the other day and once again, not open Christmas Day.

Oh well, I shall keep looking but I just know what's going to happen ... I'll find somewhere that looks fantastic and it'll be all booked up!

Ho hum ....

My family had a christmas day meal at a hotel in Ilkley, AFAIK they do christmas day meals every year. They were very happy with it. I know where it is but not the name - can find out if that's of any interest to you?

CookieMonster · 07/10/2005 22:08

helsi, I just mentioned the Leeds United thing to dh and he's, how shall we say, distinctly not keen ... thanks anyway.

Miaou, yes please .. I like Ilkley. Is it the Crescent Hotel?

no, it's the one going up the hill towards the moor, but before the cow and calf hotel - can't remember the name of it at all! Popular wedding reception venue. Opposite the grammar school. It's bugging me now but I don't think my granny would appreciate a call at this time of night!

Witchycat · 08/10/2005 10:44

Could it be Rombalds Hotel on Wells ROad ?
