Hi - we're in the east midlands and I want to surprise DH by going away for a weekend for our 10 year anniversary.
Bearing in mind that we will travel early on the saturday morning, I want somewhere that won't take all day to get to.
On a bit of a budget (ie: don't really want to spend £150 for one night) so £80 to about £130 I guess would be okay but the lower the better.
I had thought either Cambridge (where we used to live), Bury St Edmunds (also where we lived), Bath (perhaps a little far for one night) or somewhere in the Devizes area or Peak District.
Any ideas?
A bit of nice country luxury etc would be good.
It's for the first w/e in December
