I am taking dcs to see father christmas at selfridges the week before christmas. we will arrive in london at 10am and have grotto booked at 3pm. I have enough clubcard deals to do a bus tour. (the original london tour). Is it worth doing this? will we have enough time? where should we stop on the tour? any other suggestions? Im not keen on going on tubes which is why i thought bus would be good.

How old are your DC's?
Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park is great, really nice atmosphere with a german style Market (wooden chalets etc) where you can buy gifts, mulled wine, waffles etc.
There are also fairground rides, and a skating rink. It's lovely early evening, as it's all lit up.
The bus tours are great, but probably wouldn't interest very small children.

I would suggest doing the bus trip first, then Santa, then if they are not too tired pop to Hyde park. There's no entrance charge to winter wonderland, so even if you are only there for half an hour, it's still lovely. Hope this helps!
