Just got back from weekend at Splash landings Hotel, Alton Towers.
Marvellous!
Really clean. Staff were all, without exception, lovely!
Dead easy to get to the theme park and back to the hotel - totally hassle-free.
The swimming centre is great - children loved it.
Food in hotel restaurant exceptional - really good quality and I mean really good. Buffet cum carvery with not a chicken nugget in sight - YAAAAAY, a hotel not capitulating to the dreaded nugget/burger/pizza monopoly that seems to prevail across ALL eateries in this country when it comes to children's menues!
Breakfast was busy but food gorgeous.
All in all - thumbs up from our family. Highly recommend.
