I paid for my honeymoon with a credit card - the company went bust a week before my wedding!!!!!!!! & though they were ABTA bonded ABTA take 6 months at least to give you the money back.

We fortunately had some extremely kind parents of a friend who lent us the money to book another honeymoon & when we got back the credit card company had refunded the money.

So despite the credit card charges you incur that's the benefit of paying by credit card.
