Cos I hate it

I have £1500 of Tesco vouchers to spend with Cosmos

I don't mind where we go, but I'd like sailing/windsurfing available

2xAdults 1x13yo

& I am bored already

Where do I want to go in December - I guess I am limited to canaries or egypt

I wish DH could do this

Does it have to be shorthaul and will you be able (afford) to make up some of the cost if you decided to go further afield.
Is it essential that you go in December. I am that sad person who loves looking up holidays. Since we moved from Thailand though, our idea of a holiday is going across the channel to Tesco in Kent Sad Wink

Yep Boxing day

Umm maybe up to £500......

I would suggest going further afield. Thailand would be lovely, although I can't think of anywhere you'd be able to windsurf or sail. India I know you can said, DH did a couple of days when we went to Goa 18 years ago.
Look outside of North Africa and you could be surprised. don't forget to factor in visa's though. Some need to be arranged before you go.
I am very jealous.

We can't go anywhere with Malaria because of DH's health issues

& I think that might be out of budget tbh

Morocco, Le Tivoli Hotel, Agadir. Halfboard.

Leaving 26th December from Gatwick. 7 nights, returning 2nd January. Total £1609.38 without airport transfer.

Not bad score on tripadvisor: www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g293731-d316617-Reviews-Le_Tivoli_Hotel-Agadir.html

Rooms look nice to me.

I've had a look at other places, but I can't find anything else leaving on Dec 26th. Do you have to leave on this exact date?

KatyMac · 14/10/2010 13:16

No but I have to be back at work on the Tuesday (4th I think)

I would urge you to checkout which places need visa which are applied for in advance. A friend of ours went to India to watch some cricket. He didn't have a visa and was turned back. The stupidity of some people astonishes me. His argument was that 'we used to rule there' Hmm [twat]

I'm fairly certain Egypt & Canaries are OK tho'

kreecherlivesupstairs · 15/10/2010 13:16

Never been to the Canaries. Egypt is a visa on arrival arrangement.

KatyMac · 15/10/2010 20:49

Egypt is quite easy tbh
Canaries don't have a Visa at all it's Europe (I think)

Croatia is a great place for windsurfing.

KatyMac · 15/10/2010 21:00

I think Croatia is 'out of season' in December but I could be wrong

I love searching for holidays, I alwasy wanted to be a travel agent Wink

Canaries, Egypt and other parts of North Africa and Cape Verde Islands are all good destinaitons for December.

You need a visa for Egpyt but just get it on arrival.

KatyMac · 18/10/2010 13:28

It's so hard (& I hate it)

OP posts:
CubaCat · 12/11/2010 21:40

What about Cape Verde? I think it's only about a 5 hour flight and year round good weather.

scubagoose · 30/11/2010 14:16

if you go to sharm el shiek you dont need a visa unless you are leaving the sinai area..
