travel cots/beds for older children?

DS is 1 and objects loudly to the travel cot, plus which it's a bit big for us to take with us on the plane + train which is required to visit my FIL. FIL has said he is happy for us to post him something like a roll up bed or inflatable bed for DS, but I wondered what other, more experienced, mumsnetters have done?

ideally we want something we can carry or ship over easily and which isn't too bulky, but it would be good to get some ideas!

Argos do those sleeping bag beds that go on the floor.

We used a lightweight pop-up cot until dd was 1 but once they're moving they are useless.

We have a My First Readybed - although DD was 2 before she went in it. They are very light and easy to transport, and much better than the ordinary readybeds which little ones can tip over / fall out of.

thank you - will look into the ready bed I think!
