I just did a post about advice for the plane... but what about getting a baby to adjust to a time difference? Am traveling from London to NY and am concerned about how sleep will be off for my 6 month old baby...

if she sleeps well on the plane...which may happen... when we get to our destination she will most likely sleep in the car, and then arrive at the house around 9pm local time..

then she will stay up all night or sleep but be wide awake at 2 am, ready for the day...what do you do?

Unfortunately, with a baby, there's very little you can really do.
How well your DD sleeps on the plane and whether she adjusts quickly or not will depend on her.
She is too young to understand the concept of jet lag, but you can help her by trying to get her into the correct schedule for NY as soon as possible.
Make sure she gets plenty of daylight and fresh air during the day and that her naps and waking are in her normal schedule, but appropriate for the NY time zone.
It will take a couple of days, but she'll soon switch over for you.

I did London to Boston with a 5 month old once and was very worried about adjusting. It worked out wonderfully in the end as she and I both woke up at equally ridiculous times of the morning and adjusted at the same pace.

Good luck with it.

You don't - tbh you'll probably find they adjust quicker than you do. We took DS to Australia at 8 months and Nevis in the Caribbean at 12 months and both times he adjusted quicker than we did (as did DD who was 2.25 and 2.5!)
