With ryanair you need to be strict with your weights. If your empty case is heavy (ours were 6 kilos before we binned them) get rid and buy wheelie bags which are cheap on ebay. Can be several kilos lighter.

In your case can bet pretty much anything.

Your handluggage can have liquids but they must be less than 100ml each and be able to fit into the little bag they should provide you. Anything over and you will need to throw it away.

Where are you going? Suncream is available worldwide so i wouldn't take up weight buying that and taking it. Same with toiletries. The likes of Dove and Nivea are available throughout Europe.

Check your hotel doesn't have hairdryers in the room.

Medicine you can take as long as tablet form. If liquid then remember the rules above.

Hairdryer, toiletties and suncream (if you really have no choice but to take them) shoudl go in your checked bag.

Hi Lucykaye,

You've had lots of good advice from Parachute. I would definitely agree to be careful with the weight of your luggage. My friend was charged a hefty amount for going over. If you do take suncream with you in your luggage remember to put it in a plastic bag first in case it bursts open all over your holiday clothes!

My packing list and other travel tips are published on my website here: www.lovebabylovetravel.com/packing-list-for-travelling-with-a-baby/. You might find it useful.

All the best,

thank you for all that, think i'm getting my head round it all. we've paid for the extra weight allowance, and out suitcases are quite light, just want to be sure i'm putting stuff in the correct bag.
