Stop offs on the way to Devon (M4/M5)

I will be travelling from Essex to Devon on holiday, using the M4 and M5. Does anyone know of places to stop off for a break? The service stations are often so dirty and not always great for breastfeeding! My DSs are 3 and 3 months.

this site was recommended to me earlier this year by one of my guests and now I include it with my arrival information for guests. They were travelling from Southend to Devon with very young children and wanted something a bit more exciting than Burger King and M&S Sandwiches!!

It depends on where your journey breaks but we had a similar question for our journey from west london to Cornwall and Court Farm Park and Westonbirt Arboretum were both great stop offs.

Court Farm Park is just off the m5 near weston and a lovely farm park with cows and a tea shop and a brilliant castel.

Westonbirt arboretum is a very odd and brilliant place, a bit further away from the motorway (we misjudged it on the map...) but definitely worth a visit.

Cribbs Causeway shopping centre in Bristol at the M4/M5 junction would be easy for you. There is a stay and play soft play inside by the food court, which may be good for your 3 year old, and options for food either inside (Pizza Hut, Carluccios, cafe by M&S or inside M&S, inside John Lewis) or on the approach to the mall (Bella Pasta, Chiquitos, TGI's, KFC etc. There is also a Harvester just nearby - depends what you are looking for really. There is also as outside play area by the Boots entrance. If you fancy something more outdoorsy, Blaise park at Henbury is not far off the motorway at the same junction and has a cafe. Hope your trip goes well.
