All inclusive food plus toddler - WWYD?

Hi everyone,

Going on our first ever all inclusive holiday on Saturday with DD 15 months. At home she mostly eats whatever we have or some kind of rice/pasta thing. She's not really fussy so I was thinking she'd eat the all inclusive food. But, suddenly woke up this morning thinking about all the salt! It's pretty much the only thing we adjust for in our cooking. So, looking for some people with experience here - do you take all your toddler's food with you? or ask restaurant to provide a low salt option? or just give them whatever is served anyway?

We're going to Sharm El Sheikh for 14 nights.

At 15 months I just fed them whatever was going, especially on holiday - a week or so of a bit more salt than normal isn't going to do any harm. Plus I expect you could get her plain pasta, bread, cheese etc for some meals. I wouldn't worry about it!

We went all-inclusive in the Maldives last year when DS1 was 18 months old. Gosh, I was so excited at having all 14 days of food catered for that I just didn't even think about the salt content.

FYI, he mostly ate from the fresh pasta station where they had already cooked the sauce but will mix it up in the wok with cooked pasta. DS1 also loved the freshly baked bread. We are going to Sharm next year with DS1 is 3 and DS2 is 16 months so will probably just do the same. I would just be careful with the water though, just make sure she only drinks bottled water. Enjoy! :)

Hi both,

Thanks for your replies. I probably should just chill out!! She is a fruit fiend anyway so will probably just live on grapes or something.

Hope you have good Summers and that you enjoy Sharm when you go next year, angel.
