Recommendations for a nice, romantic hotel, max 2 hours drive from SW London

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel within easy driving of SW London? Just for a couple of nights mid August.

It is DP's birthday and I am pregnant so it will be nice to spoil ourselves before the babies arrive!

here might be a bit more (not much) than 2 hours drive but it is lovely, they have gardens going down to the river a beautiful terrace and child free.

Have you tried Cowley Manor? Near Cheltenham, so probably an hour or two from you. Absolutely first class. We've been once but will go back.

Cowley Manor is lovely - so's Babington House in Somerset - should be 2 hours to there from sw London. Both places do prenatal massage IIRC. Have a look at the Mr &Mrs Smith website too - lots of fab places to stay. On phone so can't link unfortunately, but should come up on google
