a friend who works at a post office says you don't usually get charged comission in spain when cashing in sterling travellers cheques, but you pay 1.5% to buy them here. euro travellers cheques you can get here comission free, but pay up to 3% over there when cashing them. i thought you got charged regardless of the type of travellers cheque?? anyone found this?? don't really want to take just cash!
