At least 50 fountains and water jets and a refreshment kiosk. Parking and entrance is free. It's right next to a bus stop. Over the road is a fab new playground as well. What a bargain afternoon out.

If you're interested, it's at Belvedere Park, near Bostill Woods, Bexley/Greenwich borders SE London. Just spent a fab afternoon there.

kbear.erith/barnehurst borders (trying to be posh).didn't venture further than the edge, looking after toddlers at time! bout time they spent some money in this part of the borough, not just on the bexley residents. (gonna upset people now).

We went after school yesterday and today. Making the most of summer before autumn kicks in! It's great although yesterday we were only there for about 40 minutes when someone stupid let their baby toddle in without a nappy on and he did a poo so they had to close it. Very annoyed children all round I can tell you.

I expect we'll pay another visit next week after school too if it's still hot (not half as many kids there as during the holidays when it was too packed for my liking).

meggymoo - it's on Woolwich Road, Belvedere at the junction of Heron Hill. Come up the A2, come off at Danson Interchange and Belvedere is signposted from there.

I reckon the word will have got round about this by next summer - I think they're planning to open it for about 4 mths over the summer but judging by last year the info on opening hours is pathetic - supposed to be 10-6 but nothing to say so. I live 2 minutes walk away and used to take mine to the old pool. Will try to put pressure on ward councillors to get their act together on info - it wasn't even on the council website when I last looked.

Hi Granite - shame the park is completely shut for the rest of the year. Used to be a nice cut through for people but now it's just dead space, you can't have a sit down in the park anymore and lots of people are pretty fed up about it.
