will a Britax prince fit on plane

Hi im travelling to turkey in sep and have purchased a seat on the plane for my 1 yr old. Just wondering if anybody knows if the britax prince will fit on a thomson plane? I know the it has to be no more than 16inches but is that just the base? Thanks

Sorry, can't answer your question, but am also looking at purchasing the Britax Prince to use on British Airways flights to/from Australia, and wondering if it will fit!?

BA says seat should be maximum 43x43cm (17inch), and the Prince is apparently 45x45cm...
