I've got a copy of my 2xgreat grandmothers death certificate, but the writing is terrible and I can't make out the cause of death-I was wondering if anyone can help? I'm sure the last word is 'certified'.

Thanks in advance

I agree with Bore as to what it says. The writing is very similar to that of a dear friend.

Oh wow thank-you for so many replies!

It sounds like she was an amazing lady, widowed in 1905 at 28, 6 children and pregnant with her 7th at the time. Brought them all up on her own and lived to a ripe old age.

Thanks again everyone!

Definitely 'Senility due to cerebral arterio-schlerosis'. AKA Vascular dementia. Basically loss of mental/intellectual faculties due to blockage of the arteries/blood circulation to the brain.

2017SoFarSoGood · 03/01/2018 19:51

Bore oh you are right, as usual. But then I shall have to start all over again and people will know think I'm a newbie goady critter :)

2018SoFarSoGreat · 03/01/2018 19:54

Just for you, dear Bore
